💡 About the role
Askable has a global network of researchers that’s brimming with potential. We need you to help us activate this 750-strong community, not just for research capacity but for content creation, brand promotion, event facilitation, and more.
This role goes beyond typical community management – it’s about turning these researchers into Ambassadors who actively promote Askable and extend our reach far beyond what a single team could achieve alone.
As the Community Manager, your mission will be to empower this global network, equipping them with the tools and confidence to represent Askable in meetups, on social media, and within their professional circles. Whether they’re attending or organizing events, creating content, or promoting the Askable brand, you’ll be driving a grassroots effort to build our presence in the US and beyond.

🛠 What you’ll do
Community Engagement & Value Creation
- Design and deliver bi-weekly "Askable Info Sessions" with iterative content, engaging slide decks, and actionable follow-up materials
- Build and moderate thriving communities across Slack, Discord, and Reddit, including managing our own Askable community Slack channel
- Execute webinars, virtual workshops, and in-person meetups that showcase researcher expertise and drive engagement
Creator & Ambassador Program Support
- Scout and qualify influential researchers in key markets across UX, product design, and research communities
- Create and implement training systems including demos, playbooks, and best-practice resources for scalable onboarding
- Support Content & Events with researcher relationships—from scheduling collaboration calls to tracking requests and providing ongoing support
Growth & Marketing
- Surface and qualify high-value leads from community activities, events, and researcher interactions
- Facilitate warm introductions between prospects and sales team, leveraging community relationships
- Identify partnership opportunities and strategic connections within the researcher network
Operations & Performance
- Build scalable processes for incentive management, payment distribution, merchandise fulfillment, and deliverable tracking
- Monitor engagement metrics, rescue underperforming initiatives, and iterate based on community feedback
- Partner with Content and Product Marketing to amplify launches, campaigns, and thought leadership through the researcher network
Strategic Impact
- Develop case studies, blog posts, and success stories that demonstrate researcher achievements and platform capabilities
- Gather and synthesize community insights to inform product development and strategic initiatives

🦉 Skills and experience you’ll bring
To hit the ground running in this role you’ll need a bachelors degree and at least 2 years experience in community management roles (or similar).
Ideally, you'll be able to show that you have:
- Experience building and activating professional communities (preferably in UX, design, or tech).
- A track record of recruiting, training, and empowering ambassadors/influencers to create content and run events.
- Strong event management skills, including both virtual (webinars, workshops) and in‑person meetups.
- The ability to create and guide content (blogs, case studies, social posts) that drives brand awareness.
- Familiarity with grassroots marketing and growing brand presence in targeted geographic markets.
- Skills in relationship management, handling incentives, payments, and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience analyzing community engagement data to optimize initiatives.
- Confidence with public speaking and facilitating sessions, webinars, and live events.
